About the Editorial Team Behind This Review
Who we are, how we work, and what our review of Alpari for South African readers can and cannot tell you.
Start with the partnerWhere Our Facts Come From
Start with a single line on a fee schedule. Before anything about Alpari reaches this site, someone on the team opens the broker's own published documents, reads the clause in full, and writes down what it actually says rather than what a summary of it says. From that one line the practice extends to everything else we publish: account terms, spreads, withdrawal conditions, the complaints record we can see, and the regulatory status the broker declares. Each factual claim is traced to a source we can point to, and where a figure can change, we note when it was last checked.
We check facts against primary material first: the broker's own contracts, fee tables and disclosure pages, plus registers and public records where they exist. Secondary reporting is used to find leads, not to settle questions. When two sources disagree, we say so in the review instead of picking the version that reads better.
We do not invent licence numbers, registration details, addresses or contact routes, and we do not fill gaps with guesses. If something could not be verified, the review says that plainly, because a stated gap is more useful to a reader than a confident sentence with nothing behind it.
Corrections are logged. When a fact changes after publication, the page is updated and the change is noted, so a reader returning later can see what moved.
How the Site Pays for Itself
This site is funded by advertising and by commercial arrangements that are kept separate from the editorial work. Money does not buy a verdict. No broker, including Alpari, has any influence over what appears in a review, over a score, or over whether a review is published at all.
The people who write and check the reviews do not negotiate the commercial arrangements, and the people who handle those arrangements do not edit the reviews. Where a commercial relationship exists with any party connected to a broker we cover, that is disclosed on the page concerned.
We do not accept payment for a favourable assessment, and we do not remove or soften criticism because of a commercial interest. If that ever changed, the change would be disclosed before it took effect.
How the Broker Is Tested
Testing follows a fixed set of criteria applied to every broker we cover, so that Alpari is measured the same way as anything else on the site. We look at the cost of trading as published, the conditions attached to deposits and withdrawals, the account types and what separates them, the platform and the tools offered, how complaints are handled, and what the broker's regulatory position means for a reader in South Africa.
Each criterion carries weight set in advance, and the score is built from the evidence gathered rather than from an overall impression. Where a criterion cannot be assessed from available material, it is marked as unassessed rather than scored on assumption.
The result is a structured comparison, not a recommendation to open an account. A score tells you how a broker performed against our criteria on the day we checked. It does not tell you whether the broker suits your circumstances.
Limits and Challenging Us
A review describes what was true when it was written. Fees change, terms are revised, platforms are updated, and a review can fall behind those changes between updates. It also cannot see your finances, your goals or your tolerance for risk, and it is not advice. This site is not the broker, is not affiliated with it, and does not open accounts, take deposits or provide financial services.
If you believe something published here is wrong, you can challenge it through the contact form on this site. Tell us which statement you are questioning and, where you can, point to the document or page that contradicts it. We will check the source, correct the page if the challenge holds, and note the correction. If it does not hold, we will explain why, and we will not remove accurate material because it is unwelcome.
